Matthew 7:12
12 Therefore all things whatsoever ye would that men should do to you, do ye even so to them: for this is the law and the prophets.

When I was a child I heard Matthew 7:12 quoted more times than I can count, and I remember that it was affectionately referred to as the “Golden Rule.” I knew what the verse meant, which is quite clear, and understood why everyone would continue to refer to it every time there was an altercation in our home or between children or at our church.

What I did not understand was just how profound this one simple command is, nor did I appreciate how revolutionary it was to man and society.

We live in a world that is full of men that are all trying to be their own god, or to determine for themselves what is right and wrong. The men of this world are full of hatred and envy from the womb, no one needs to teach children how to hate and envy. It is part of the human condition, and the reason man is in need of a savior. Children of the youngest of ages will harm other children if they are permitted to, and they become enraged when another child has something, or gets something, that they want themselves.

It is clear from the youngest of ages that children are selfish creatures that are not concerned about the well-being of others. “Take what you can, and give nothing back,” is a fair summation of man’s maxim for life.

Educational institutions, government schools in particular, do not teach the golden rule to their students nor are they capable of doing so. The government schools are deliberately and intentionally anti-God and anti-God’s Law and Morality. Every school in America is full of educators teaching subjects and curriculum that are dedicated to creating humanistic divisions between men, humanistic discrimination of men, and humanistic oppression and hatred of others.

In essence, the government schools are weapons of hatred, oppression, and humanistic discrimination and the children are the ammunition.

Christians should become teachers because they are the only ones that can not only point out man’s innate wayward and hostile nature towards his fellow man, but also have the remedy.

In order for man to be able to properly love other men, he must first love God and obey God.

Love is not a sentiment or an emotion, love is an action.

Love is the keeping of God’s commandments toward God and man, and the keeping of the commandments of God and loving your fellow man is summed up in the Golden Rule.

Without God there is no true love.
