Proverbs 13:6
Righteousness keepeth him that is upright in the way: but wickedness overthroweth the sinner.

Good and bad actions and decisions in life have a way of accumulating over the course of man’s life. One decision leads to another, and one action leads to another. Man’s life is either moving towards prosperity, freedom, and life under God, or man’s life is moving towards poverty, enslavement, and death through rebellion to God.

Those that reject God and His Word build their own prisons daily with each rebellious action. The wicked do not need to fear others, their greatest danger is themselves.
